The Worcester Wolves Women’s team will make their WNBL Division One debut this Saturday against local rivals Bristol Flyers and it will be streamed live and for free on the Worcester Wolves YouTube channel.

For the 2020/21 campaign, the Wolves Women will be playing selected home games from the state-of-the-art University of Worcester Arena which has the technology in place to live stream the teams home games this season.

This change of venue will give the club the opportunity to allow fans to watch live basketball from the safety and comfort of their own home and it will give the fans of the visiting teams to the Arena the opportunity to watch their team play.

Wolves Managing Director Mick Donovan is proud of the club’s new initiative.

“We saw an opportunity to really push the Worcester Wolves Women’s programme into the spotlight using the technology we have at the University Of Worcester Arena.

The Wolves backroom staff have worked extremely hard to get this project over the line and we are very proud that the Women’s team will have a new platform to showcase their season to a broader audience.”

Dr Susie Scriven, Worcester Wolves Director, and lead of the women’s programme added;

‘We were ecstatic when UWWW Women’s Basketball 1st team secured promotion to NBL Div. 1 for 2020/21 season. To have home games live streamed to a huge potential audience simply adds another layer of excitement to the season.

“We trust Worcester Wolves fans and more broadly all followers of elite women’s sport, will embrace this opportunity to watch our athletes proudly represent our University City.”
