Last meeting

Wolves have played Lions twice this season and we have come out on top in both, meaning that we already have the head to head going into this game. In the first game, we went away to the copper box and won by a huge 29 points finishing 71-100.  The last game at home was a bit closer, but we still got a 99-91 win.

Table positions

11 victories in a row have allowed Wolves to jump to our highest position this season in 3^rd place, with 18 victories and 12 losses. Lions stand in 6^th place with 16 victories and 13 losses and if the table remains this way until the end of the season, we will be facing them in the first round of the playoffs.

One to watch

After leading for a while, Rashad Hassan has recently dropped to the 3^rd leader in points scored per league game, averaging 19.8. The 6 ft. 8 forward is also 2^nd in average rebounds at 8.6 per game. Hassan is Strong and dangerous on both the offence and defence and is proving to be one of the best players in the league making him one to watch!

We asked Trevor Setty about meeting London Lions tomorrow. Here is what he had to say:

“They are a veteran team with a lot of height and team strength. They don’t really have an up-tempo team, as they have big physical guards and athletic big men.”

“Rashad Hassan is a really solid big man that works really hard and is great at establishing his position under the basket. Navid Niktash is highly skilled 4^th position man that has a great touch on his jump shot. Alex Owumi does a little bit of everything, highly competitive and physical guard who can shoot from anywhere. Former MVP Zaire Taylor is a really big walk it up point guard with a great handle of the basketball, great at finishing and can score from anywhere on the court. Kai Williams does a little bit of everything for them and can shoot threes from anywhere.”
