Worcester Wolves vs Plymouth Raiders semi-final pre-match report
Last meeting: We have lost all 3 games that we have played against Plymouth this season. Our last meeting was in the first leg of the semi-final at Plymouth Pavilions, where we lost 96-78. This of course means that in this second leg we need to close the 18-point gap!
In the league: Plymouth Raiders are in 6th place, which is 2 wins ahead of us.
One to watch: There are a couple of players to watch out for in the Plymouth team, but player coach Daryl Corletto can turn up the heat in a hurry. Corletto averages 17 points per game, has a 60% field goal average and the second highest 3-point average in the league at 66%. If the Wolves are to make it to the final, they need to put pressure on Corletto at the 3-point line.
What the players think: When asking Jermel Kennedy whether we can make it to the final he said “I think it’s going to be a great game. They have the 18-point deficit on us, but we play extremely well at home and we will figure it out. Since we know that we have to make that 18-point deficit I think that we can hold them down.”
