Wolves Not Taking Leeds Lightly
Worcester Wolves guard Disraeli Lufadeju says the team is aware of the threat posed by Leeds Force ahead of their game on Friday evening.
In their first season in the BBL, Force have lost all four of their opening fixtures and are bottom of the early league table.
However, Lufadeju says that Wolves – who have won three of their opening four games – know that they will be in for a tough test on Friday.
“We are expecting Leeds to be very aggressive from the get go, because they are still trying to prove to the league they are competitive in the BBL too,” he told the BBL.
Force point guard James McCann is also sure that the game will be competitive, and believes that his team is getting better with each passing week.
“We have had a rough start to our season but I do believe we are improving week in, and week out,” he said.
“We aren’t even close to where we want to be but I like the direction we are headed.”
Earlier this week, Force suffered a blow when it was announced that centre Zak Wells had left the club after seriously injuring his left knee.
Wolves, who go into the game with a full-strength squad to choose from, could move to joint top of the BBL table with a victory. They are one of three teams – the others being Newcastle Eagles and Leicester Riders – to have lost just once so far this season.
