Worcester Wolves have begun the search for a new Head Coach to lead them through the 2019/2020 season.

Interim Head Coach, Tony Garbelotto, is moving on from the Club after stepping in to help the team half-way through the 2018/2019 season, following the departure of Ty Shaw.  He oversaw Worcester Wolves’ thrilling 74-72 home victory over fifth placed Glasgow Rocks at the University of Worcester Arena on Friday (April 26) to ensure that a challenging season ended on a high.

Managing Director, Mick Donovan, said: “Tony joined the Wolves during a really difficult period for the club.  He has a huge amount of experience and knowledge and together with his focussed and professional approach, he really made a positive impact during the short time he was with us.  We really enjoyed working with him and sincerely thank him for his meaningful contribution.  Of course, we wish him well with whatever coaching path he takes in the future and I am sure he will continue to make a great contribution to the game.

“Now we are looking to appoint a new coach to take the team forward and will update fans when we have more news.”

Tony Garbelotto said: “I want to personally thank Mick and all of the directors, along with all of the staff at the Wolves.  From my first day, everyone has worked tirelessly to achieve positive results both on and off court.  This is a big club with one of the best fan bases in the league and I thank all the fans for their support.  I have no doubt that the club will go on to further successes in the future.”
