Worcester Wolves make a last minute addition to bolster their squad with Dean Wanliss ahead of season opener.

Wanliss comes to the Wolves from Leeds Force who unfortunately exit the British Basketball League at the end of last season. During his time at Leeds, he averaged 9.8 points per game.

Wanliss has been signed by the Wolves to strengthen the squad whilst they await the arrival of their final two imports. The British forward will look to bring some valuable BBL experience to the squad as he has also spent time at both Manchester Giants and Leicester Riders whilst he was at Loughborough University.

Wanliss spent his college career at Iowa State Community college and has spent much of his playing career at NBL division 1 side Barking Abbey.

On arrival, Wanliss said, “I am looking forward to the season. It has been such a fast process and I had my first training session as soon as I got here, but I am looking forward to what is to come and what Coach has set out for us to achieve.”

Wanliss will be available for selection at tonight’s pre-season opener against Plymouth Raiders. Tickets will be available to purchase online here until 5pm or on the door at the University of Worcester Arena.
