Worcester Wolves Announces Exciting Partnership with Free Radio
Worcester Wolves Basketball Club is delighted to announce that Free Radio is its official commercial radio partner for the 2017/18 season.
The deal between the BBL team, owned by the University of Worcester, and the Worcester based radio station will include a contest to win a Wolves VIP experience.
The station will run the ‘Best Seat in the House’ competition at every game, giving fans the opportunity to win six courtside seats, snacks, drinks and a photograph with the team after the game.
Free Radio will also work with Worcester Wolves to generate extra content for the fans, such as player videos.
Tom Newitt, who hosts Free Radio’s Breakfast Show, said: “Basketball is such an exciting sport. It is perfect for families and such a great night out. I am very excited about this new partnership and that we at Free Radio can get behind the local club.”
Richard Hurst, from its Home Time Show, added: “I know so many people that get a buzz out of going down to the Arena for game night; it’s always a great show. That’s why we at Free Radio are delighted to be part of it this season.”
Mick Donovan, Managing Director of the Worcester Wolves, said: “We are very excited about developing our relationship with Free Radio. They have offered great support to the Wolves in terms of celebrating its success and promoting the club with their listeners in the past and now we can really build upon those strong foundations in the future.”
The Best Seat in the House competition starts at this Friday’s game against Manchester Giants in the BBL Cup. The last few Worcester Wolves games have seen sell-out crowds at the University of Worcester Arena, but tickets for the game are available here
