Worcester Bring Danny Huffor to the Wolf Pack
The Worcester Wolves recruitment drive continues with the signing of 6’4” swingman, Danny Huffor, who is a graduate of NCAA Division II School Newberry College.
The UK/US dual passport holder joins the Wolves with a wealth of BBL experience and in the past two seasons, he averaged 12. 4 points per game with Glasgow Rocks in the 2014/15 season and then last year he averaged 16.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game with the Cheshire Phoenix. Ironically, Huffor’s best game figures in the last campaign came against the Worcester Wolves at the University Arena when he scored 38 points and took 15 rebounds against his new team in an impressive Phoenix victory.
Head Coach Paul James is clearly delighted with his latest signing “Danny is a very talented and versatile player and there are so many strengths that Danny will bring to the Wolves at both ends of the floor. He has shown over the years that his work ethic has been a significant factor with all of the teams he has represented in the BBL. Significantly, his experience in this league will be hugely beneficial to the rest of the team”.
These are clearly exciting times for the Wolves and the signing of Huffor follows very shortly after the announcement earlier in the week of the Wolves three new import players, Marek Klassen, Trevor Setty and Deondre McWhorter.
Huffor is also looking forward to the new challenge commenting “I’m happy to be with the Wolves and very excited for this season. I’m ready to lead Worcester and bring Silverware back, I’m all set to go and win. I hope all the Worcester fans are ready for this season”.
James added “We are really pleased with the pieces of the jigsaw that are being put in place for next season and we are getting closer to further announcements”.
When asked about returning players, Coach James confirmed that it is looking increasingly unlikely.
