Worcester Valencia Summer Residential Basketball Camp officially launched.

The University of Worcester and the Worcester Wolves have launched the innovative summer residential basketball camp in partnership with Valencia Basket, one of Europe’s most successful basketball clubs.

The Spanish side has won a number of European titles, including 2014 champions of the Europcup and currently sit at the top of the prestigious ACB League.

This will be the first project to be launched through the partnership since the collaboration agreement was signed in December 2015.  The Valencia Basket and Worcester Basketball Camp in August 2016 will take place at the University of Worcester Arena with coaching from both the Valencia and Worcester Wolves Clubs.

Mick Donovan, Managing Director of the Wolves and Head of Institute of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Worcester, said: “We are delighted   to be able to launch the camp and to work alongside one of the best basketball clubs in Europe.  We really believe that aspiring players in the UK will really benefit from engaging with our own coaches and the experts from Valencia Basket.
