Wolves Looking to Bounce Back after Cheshire Defeat
Worcester Wolves will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing defeat to fellow top-four side Cheshire Phoenix as they travel to face the Durham Wildcats on Sunday.
The defeat ended Wolves’ eight game unbeaten run in the British Basketball League, and further dented Wolves’ chances of catching the Newcastle Eagles in top spot.
Durham currently sit ninth in the league, but wolves guard Disreli Lufadeju knows that if Wolves fail to stifle Durham’s sharp shooters, they could be in for a tough evening.
Wolves guard Disraeli Lufadeju: “Durham have some really good shooters on their team and our main focus is to make every shot they take hard for them and to limit their open looks. If we do those things and play our game, we will be fine.”
Wolves will be without Remi Dibo, who quit the club earlier in the week having decided to return to France.
Paul James’s side currently sit second in the league standings, two points behind Newcastle who still have two games in hand to play.
