Worcester Wolves face the second of two challenging road trips this weekend when they travel up to Scotland on Sunday (tip off 5.00pm) to take on the Glasgow Rocks.

Rocks have experienced an up-and-down start to the season but moved to 2-4 with a win over Manchester Giants last weekend.

Worcester meanwhile dropped their first games of the season, against Plymouth University Raiders in the BBL Championship and Leicester Riders in the BBL Cup.

The Wolves will no doubt want to return to form this weekend – but will face a motivated and focused Glasgow side.

“If our guys can’t get up to beat the best we are in the wrong line of work,” said Rocks player-coach Sterling Davis.

“As a professional you strive for moments to prove yourself so I think our guys will rise to this challenge. I think we are moving in the right direction. We still have some way to go to be where we want to be but our steps are the right direction.”

Davis is well aware of the prospect of a Wolves backlash however.

“I think they will be hungry to get back on track,” he added. They have proven that they have a good team so I am sure they want to get back to the level they have been playing at over the last month.”

Worcester coach Paul James gave his thoughts on Sunday’s encounter: “Glasgow probably has the most experienced team in the league and that makes them very dangerous, especially on their floor in Glasgow.

“Sterling Davis, EJ Harrison and Chez Marks are all quality players who are capable of having huge games. They have a very good big man in Daniel Northern so they are a very capable team.”

Rocks’ guard Jonny Bunyan remarked: “I feel the team took longer than expected to get the chemistry together but now that we are starting to click I think we can make some real moves.

“Worcester could be down after losing two, or come out with more fire trying to get back to winning ways. We can’t worry about their results. We need to play our game and try get on our own winning streak.”
