BBL Foundation Releases Proj3kt 3 on 3 Video

The BBL Foundation has today released this great video from Zak Pinchin documenting the action from last weekend’s Proj3kt 3on3 event that took place within the iconic setting of Trafalgar Square, and which housed the Euroleague Final Four Fanzone.

The event was a partnership between Euroleague Basketball social corporate responsibility initiative One Team and the BBL Foundation to promote the work that the two organisations carry out and promote the power of basketball as a tool to integrate communities in the United Kingdom. The partnership centred around the promotion of the BBL Foundation’s recent Proj3kt 3on3 programme, in partnership with Sport England, which uses the 3on3 version of basketball to increase participation amongst the 16-19 years age group and to promote social inclusion in areas of the UK where there are BBL franchises.

Event MC Nhamo Shire also held a Q & A with London 2012 Team GB Basketball squad captains Drew Sullivan and Julie Page, who both praised the value of Proj3kt 3on3 and how the 3 on 3 version of the game is a great way to grow participation of the game amongst young people in England post London 2012. Newcastle Eagles Under 18’s took the trophy back to the North east.
