Wolves Women Progress to Play Off Semi Finals

The Worcester Wolves Women have progressed to Semi Finals on the WNBL2 Play Offs following a clutch win over East London Phoenix.
The Wolves who led for the majority of the game showed great composure to see off a late charge by the Phoenix to secure a 72-71 victory at the University of Worcester Arena on Sunday afternoon in front of the biggest attendance the team has had this season.
Carolina Marques shot the lights out with 38 points followed by Shona Williams who also scored double figures with 12 points
The team will now travel to London this Saturday where they will face the WNBL2, Pool 2 League Champions Cobham Cobras, tip off 2.30pm at ACS International School Cobham.
A win will see the Wolves head to the Play Off Finals in Manchester on Saturday April 27th.
This would cap off what has been a brilliant season for the Worcester Wolves Women, finishing second in WNBL2, Pool 1, only loosing 3 games in league competition. The team also went deep into the National Cup, reaching the quarter finals, pushing WNBL1 outfit Reading Rockets all the way to the final buzzer.
