As the season enters its final few fixtures the Wolves were looking to end the season on a high with some strong results. Despite an unfortunate loss against the Lions the performance shown by the Wolves was strong which should allow Wolves to finish the season well.

In the first quarter it was the Lions who started off strong managing to open up their lead quite quickly as the clinicalness shown by the Lions meant that they managed to score a very rare 30 points. The Wolves did manage to respond well towards the end of the quarter which resulted in the score being 30-14 after the first 10 minutes.

The second quarter was the complete opposite of the first 10 minutes with the Wolves being the much better team which was highlighted by the score in those 10 minutes as the Wolves won the quarter 8-15. With this score it meant that as the quarter came to an end the Wolves were only 9 points behind the Lions and looked the much better team as the game reached the halfway stage.

The third quarter was much closer with both teams managing to score points for fun which highlighted just how close both these teams were. As the quarter went on the game continued in the same fashion as the Lions managed to keep hold of their 9-point lead and were doing well to see the game out despite the Wolves pushing for a massive away win as the quarter ended 55-45.

The final quarter the Wolves were pushing all they could to try and get back into the game however it wasn’t meant to be as the London Lions managed to counter the Wolves’ style for these last 10 minutes very well which meant the Lions managed to see out the game and pick up a valuable win at this stage of the season as the game ended 73-56.

Grace Brownell was top scorer for the Wolves today scoring an impressive 14 points for the Wolves. The wolves next play on the 18th of March as they travel to play the Bristol Flyers with tip off at 3pm.
