With the playoffs getting closer and closer each week the Wolves had to make sure that they are picking up as many points as possible which they managed to do this week with a very impressive display against Ipswich which saw them win the game by 10 points.

As the quarter began Ipswich were the first team on the scoreboard however, the quarter was full of action with both teams taking every chance they had. This continued throughout the first 10 minutes with the Wolves having the majority of the attacks and as a result ended the quarter with an impressive 24 points which gave them a 5-point lead over Ipswich as they headed into the second quarter.

During the next 10 minutes the game really gathered momentum with the Wolves slowing the pace down and made sure they maximised the 24 seconds they got each attack to which meant their lead opened up dramatically. As the quarter came to a close Marques made two brilliant 3 pointers which meant at the halfway stage the Wolves lead 48-33.

As the third quarter got underway the game shifted back to how it started in the first quarter where attacks were frantic and constant which did suit Ipswich a lot more, however the Wolves did manage to adapt to this style once again which allowed them to keep a 13 point lead (63-49) going into the final with a mix of strong defence and fast and lethal counters.

The final 10 minutes consisted of effective time wasting from the Wolves to try to maintain and protect the lead they had earned from the previous three quarters. Despite a very strong showing from Ipswich the Wolves managed to hold on to their lead giving them a valuable win at home 76-66.

Grace Brownell was star shooter for the Wolves today managing to score a total of 20 points out of the 76. The Wolves are next play at home on Sunday 19th February where they will host Loughborough Riders with tip off at 2pm and before that they travel to ARU on Saturday February 11th, tip off 4pm.
