Worcester Wolves 60-63 Bristol Flyers

After a devastating defeat last week, the Wolves were unfortunately beaten once again by a narrow margin despite a late comeback as they now have one game left before the Christmas break to try and turn their luck around.
The first quarter saw the Flyers get off to a flying first quarter as it only took around a minute to open a 5-point lead. However, the Wolves did not let this affect them as they soon got back on top as halfway through the quarter, they led the game 7-5. However, by the end of the quarter the Flyers managed to sustain a huge 10-point lead 12-22.
As the second quarter got underway the Wolves came out like a different team and this was reflected in the score as the Flyers lead was halved within two minutes of the quarter. The final 2 minutes was the same as the Wolves clinical edge came in handy allowing them to tie the game 36-36 as the game reached the halfway point.
As the third quarter started the game went back to the same style as it was during the first quarter. And because of this the Flyers managed to take back a slender lead with some clinical shooting and well worked counter plays. Despite a 2-point layup at the end of the quarter from Nuri Seyedagha-Calderon the Wolves went into the final quarter 7 points down (44-51).
The final quarter was very tense with both teams going back and forth as the Wolves were trying their most to salvage some much-needed points going into the Christmas break. However, despite the Wolves outsourcing the Flyers in the last quarter by 4 points it just wasn’t enough as the final score ended 60-63 to the Flyers as for the second week in a row the Wolves fall short by a heartbreakingly small margin.
Charlotte Finn played all 40 minutes today scoring the most points (14) for the Wolves in today’s game. Next week sees the Wolves Play CoLA Southwark Pride away from home at 2:15pm which will be the last game before the new year.
