The Worcester Wolves are excited to announce the appointment of Kieran Howell as the new Head Coach of the Women’s National League D1 Team.

A former student of the University of Worcester, where he obtained an Undergraduate Degree in Sports Coaching, Howell brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to his new role at the Worcester Wolves.

As a player, he quickly navigated his way from Community Basketball to the National scene, representing Myerscough College in the EABL and NBL, going on to representing the Northwest in Regional Competition as Captain. Howell also represented the University of Worcester BUCS team whist obtaining his degree and played for Wales in the European Championships and Four Nations.

Howell entered coaching early, gaining experience as the Worcester Wolves Women’s Team Assistant Coach in WNBL2 North and WNBL1 while also being the BUCS Performance Coach at the University Of Worcester. More recently, he has also established himself as the Great Britain Maxi Over 45s Assistant Coach.

Being a key component in the Worcester Wolves Community Outreach Programme and Camps, Howell has delivered coaching sessions to children across the city and beyond for a number of years.

Howell is ready to get on court and start planning for the season ahead; “ I am delighted to be named Head Coach for the Worcester Wolves Women’s programme. Having worked closely with the Wolves in a number of capacities across the years, I understand that opportunities like this one don’t come around often. I welcome this next part of my coaching journey with open arms and look forward to working with some incredibly dedicated people along the way….LETS HUNT!”
