On Signing for the Worcester Wolves, Sarah said: “I’m really excited to be playing in the inaugural season of WPL with Worcester Wolves. I used to watch the Wolves BBL team play and now being back here, on this court, seems like a coming home. I can’t think of a better club or group of girls to share this experience with.”

Worcester Wolves Managing Director, Mick Donovan, said he was excited by the announcement of the team’s first signing. “We are delighted to welcome Sarah to the Wolves,” he said. “Already, she has shown leadership both on and off the court and we are sure that she will be an integral part of the team and very popular with our Wolves fans.”

The League will be the first of its kind for women’s wheelchair basketball in the world, and the very first professional para-sport league in the UK.

The University of Worcester will be one of four High-Performance Partnerships, which also include Cardiff Metropolitan University, Loughborough University and the University of East London, that will each be home to a women’s premier league team.
