Reading Rockets 61-64 Worcester Wolves

Worcester Wolves gain a huge win away at the Reading Rockets, scraping through in the fourth quarter winning 61-64.
With a loss in the previous result away to the Loughborough Riders the week before, the Worcester Wolves were looking to bounce back with their next game with a visit to Reading to face the Reading Rockets.
The Wolves were ready straight out of the gate, causing many turnovers and forcing sloppy play from the rockets.
The first quarter saw a huge lead for the Wolves, and it seemed as if they were in control from the get-go, finishing the first quarter 22-10.
The second quarter saw more of the same, keeping the Rockets exactly where they wanted them.
Defensive displays from Nuri Seyedagha helped contain any offense from the rockets, combined with the superb offensive displays from Shanice Turner and Chandré Nunez helped the Wolves close out the first half with a 12-point lead winning 39-27.
The Rockets tried to mount a comeback, but off the back of the aggressive drives to the basket, the Wolves could not be stopped.
The score was 42-52 heading into the final 10 minutes of the game, it was the Wolves’ game to lose at this point.
The final quarter was a huge quarter for the Rockets, piling on the pressure for the entirety of the quarter.
Starting out hitting some big shots from deep and running circles around the Wolves team, as if they had caught a second wind.
The final moments saw a lead of just two for the Worcester Wolves, they could not allow this game to go into overtime otherwise Coach Ryan Emery could have seen this game slip out of his hands.
Time management had to come into play with the final 45 seconds left, a huge shot with 22 seconds to go by Chandré Nunez helped gain a three-point lead.
One turnover later, keeping the ball, and the Worcester Wolves escape Reading with a win.

Star of the show was Chandré Nunez with a very impressive 22 points, shooting 64% from the field.
Two games follow this weekend on the 23rd where the Wolves play Anglia Ruskin in the WNBL Division 1 where doors open at 3 pm for the tip-off at 4 pm.
Worcester Wolves host Derby Diamonds in the WNBL National Cup on the 24th of October where doors open at 1 pm for the tip-off at 2 pm.
