Jordan Williams Returns For Second Season With The Worcester Wolves

The Worcester Wolves signings continue with the return of versatile forward Jordan Williams.

In retaining Williams, the Wolves add important BBL experience to their roster ahead of the new campaign with this being his sixth season playing in the UKs top tier of basketball.

The 6ft 8 British power forward averaged 14.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists as well as multiple double doubles in league and cup competition last season. His ability to create opportunities, drive the floor and guard multiple positions will prove to be a huge asset again for the Wolves.

Williams featured heavily in the British Basketball League “Plays Of The Week” with several appearances and wins.

Wolves Head Coach Matt Newby is delighted to secure the services of Williams for a second season.

“I feel last season Jordan made a significant impact on the league and was a key component in our success.  Arguably, he was one of the best interiors in the league and is a match up problem for most teams when he was playing at his peak.

He has the ability to stretch the floor, is very well rounded in pick and roll and can get the ball on the floor and create from the perimeter; when you couple this with a well-rounded interior game which has both power and finesse as well as a strong passing game, then there is the makings of a next level big.  

He requires more consistency in several areas, but I feel that with the right application he can really go up a gear in terms of output this season.

As a returner I will also be expecting more maturity and leadership, which will be critical in integrating our new players and defining our style of play.”

Williams is eager to get back on the floor with the Wolves and start preparing for the new season.

“Last season we turned things around and with the guys we have this year some great things are on the way.

I cannot wait to be back in the Arena to get started and to get back around the fans!
