Worcester Wolves 2017/18 captain, Alex Navajas returns to the side for a last ditch effort to make the playoffs.

The 6 ft. 7 Spanish forward spent the two previous seasons at the Wolves, where last season he captained the team to the BBL Cup. He averaged 10.8 points, 6.6 rebound and 3.2 assists per game throughout the season.

His efforts afforded him the opportunity to begin this season at French NM1 club L’union Lourdes-Tarbes Pyrenees Basket.

On returning to the Worcester Wolves Navajas said, “I’m happy and excited to go back home. I am coming to the team to help in every way I can!

I know that we are in a difficult situation, but it’s not impossible. I’m sure that with the help of the fans we will get ahead. Let’s go Wolves!”

Managing Director Mick Donovan added, “Following the unexpected departure of Filip at this stage of the season, we needed to find a replacement who can add strength as a player and as a person and Alex will certainly do that. We are delighted to have him back during this challenging time”

Navajas will fly to the UK on Wednesday night. The club are hoping to have his international clearance ready for the game on Friday against top of the league London Lions at the University Arena (7.30pm). Tickets are available here.
