This season the Worcester Wolves have looked to American Darell Combs as their point guard who they hope is going to be a high scoring option for them.

Combs attended Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) where he played for the NCAA Division I team IUPUI Jaguars. He was in the starting five during his senior year and averaged 16.7 points, 2.5 rebound and 2.8 assists per game. This led to him being awarded an All-Summit League honourable mention that season.

He began his rookie year last season at Italian Serie A2 team Roseto Sharks, averaging 13.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game but made the move to Stjarnan in the Iceland Dominos league at the end of the season.

Combs said, “I am blessed and thankful for the opportunity that Worcester have offered me. I am excited for the season ahead and ready to get to work with my teammates and coaches”

Mick Donovan said, “It was always our intention to find a point guard who can lead the team on the court, whilst also offering a significant scoring option.”

“We are really excited about Darell joining the Wolves and given his playing history and style, feel sure that he will be a huge favourite with our fans and make a great contribution to the club”

The Worcester Wolves 19th season begins on Friday 21 September at the University of Worcester Arena. Tickets are available now by clicking here.
