Challenge ahead as Worcester Wolves players called up for international duty
The Worcester Wolves face a daunting challenge at the University of Worcester Arena this Friday against the Plymouth Raiders with 5 of the 8 professional players missing.
Dallin Bachynski and George Beamon are still recovering from injury, whilst Robert Gilchrist joins Michael Ojo and Elvisi Dusha on international duty after receiving a late call up to the GB squad to face Israel this weekend.
Head coach Paul James said “we always knew that we would be without Michael and Elvisi, but to be unexpectedly missing the other three key player’s offers a serious challenge. That being said, the remaining players have been working hard together in practice and it is a challenge that they up for”
The Wolves are able to utilise University players from their Worcester Wolves second team, who play in the National Basketball League Division 3.
“We hope that the fans can rally behind the remaining players on Friday as a big home crowd can make all the difference.”
