Record attendances at the Worcester Wolves
The Worcester Wolves face the Manchester Giants this Friday at 7.30 pm and are heading for another sell out game.
Ticket sales for this BBL Cup game strongly suggest that this could be one of the Wolves biggest attendances since moving to the University of Worcester Arena.
Mick Donovan, Managing Director was asked about this thoughts on the Worcester public’s response to this particular game, “I think that sports fans are attracted to knockout cup competitions generally and this game is no different.”
“We have a really strong and loyal Wolves fan base and the attendances at the pre – season games this year and the first league home game last week clearly demonstrated that the Worcester public have taken to the exciting new look Wolves team” he added.
“Whilst the returning players have received a warm welcome on their return, the new group of players have made a great impact on and off the court.
We are thrilled that over the years, the Worcestershire people have embraced the club and that Friday night is now really established as ‘Basketball Night at the Arena’”
“We expect the atmosphere to be fantastic tomorrow and urge fans who have not got tickets yet, to do so quickly, rather than miss out.”
