July 2015 Khan Checks In as Wolves’ Rebuilding Continues at Pace
Ashton Khan has become the fourth new face to join the Worcester Wolves this summer.
The 6”1” guard is a graduate of Tiffin University in the USA and holds both Canadian and British passports.
Khan, who joins Javier Mugica, Malik Smith, Perris Blackwell and the retained Disraeli Lufadeju on next season’s roster, said: “I’m incredibly excited to join the Worcester Wolves, and I’d like to thank the organisation and coach Paul James for bringing me in.
“I am aware of the success the club has been able to have in the BBL and I believe that I can continue the winning tradition on the court. I can’t wait to get to work; I believe that my ability to distribute and score the ball at a high level will translate into wins on the court and silverware for our team.
“My father is from Great Britain, so this was a terrific opportunity for me to return to my parents’ home country and be able to play in the top basketball league in the UK.”
Whilst at Tiffin University, 24 year-old Khan averaged 12 points, four rebounds and four assists per game, whilst also shooting a high percentage from both 2 and 3-point range.
Head Coach Paul James added: “Khan is another exciting player that we have added to the Wolves roster this summer. He can create his own shot, but will work well within the team concept that we have.
“He is a tough defender with quick hands and I know that he is going to be a really good addition to the team.”
