Dejan Radojevic Signs for the Wolves

Following a long search since the departure of Lithuanian Donatas Visockis, the Wolves have finally found a replacement in the form of Serbian Dejan Radojevic, who also holds a  Slovenian passport which allows him to utilise the final EU spot that the Wolves have available.

Radojevic is a 25 year old, 6 foot 11 inches power forward/centre who has a wealth of European experience for a relatively young player, making his debut with KP Slovan Ljubljana and then played in the Euro Cup for BC Olimija Llubljana, where he also enjoyed Slovenian National Cup success in 2010. Since then, he has played for French teams Challans and Pays d’Onne where he established a great reputation for his versatile and explosive approach.

Dejan arrived in Worcester on Monday and the club are now hoping that all paperwork and clearance will be completed so that he will make his debut this weekend with trips to Bristol Flyers in the league and Durham Wildats in the Trophy competition. On moving to Worcester, Radojevic revealed “ I have spent time researching the BBL and the Worcester Wolves and am very excited to be joining such an ambitious and respected club at this exciting stage of the season. I will do all that I can to help the Wolves to achieve their goals and cannot wait to be a part of the team”

Head Coach Paul James “ it would have been easy to rush to find a replacement for  the Forward position and we have looked at many players in the past 8 weeks and finally we have found a player who we believe will make  a dynamic and effective contribution to our team. Dejan could become a big favourite with our Wolves fans”

The Wolves next home game is against Sheffield Sharks on the 23rd January when Worcester fans will have their first opportunity to meet the latest addition to the Worcester Wolves. Basketball fans around the country will all be eager to see how the twin towers of Radojevic and Robert Thurman combine together
