This week’s opponents are The London Lions.

Table position: As it gets to the business end of the season the London lions are currently sitting in 4th position in comparison to the Worcester Wolves in 7th battling for the playoffs.

Last meeting: We have played the Lions only once so far this season and this was away at the Copper Box. Our fast break offence and aggressive defence led to the game ending with a huge 29-point gap at 71-100 to the Worcester Wolves.

Key match up: London Lions has some familiar faces in their squad. Many Wolves fans will remember ex-Wolves player – Alex Owumi, who helped Wolves reach our best season in club History during the 2013-2014 season. This season Alex has played 18 games and has 14.2 points per game which is 20th highest in the league and collects almost 5.5 rebounds per game, which is high for a guard. Wolves fans should focus their attention on this experience.

Closely matched on our side of the court, Danny Huffor is having a great second half to his season. Danny performed in 22 BBL games so far and has averaged 13.5 points per game, 5.7 rebounds and almost 2 steals per game. Last Friday Huffor scored 27 points and has showed his increasing potential as the season goes on.

This match up battle between Danny and Alex will definitely be one to watch.

What the players think: When asking Ashton khan his opinion on the game “London is a good team that can score in bunches. They have talented players that if we let them get going will be hard to stop. We have to play good defence from the beginning of the game. Their team has experience in this league. We will be ready for a tough game. We know we beat them convincingly at their arena, so they will he ready for us in are home arena.”
